Kicking off the spring season, CityPlace Doral has launched an Instagrammable art installation made entirely of vibrant-colored umbrellas.
On display through June 30, guests will be welcomed with 1,300 rainbow-hued umbrellas floating overhead on the boulevard upon entering the center.
The umbrellas coincide with the debut of The Oasis experience at CityPlace Doral’s Fountain Plaza at 8300 NW 36th St. The Oasis features a relaxing, open-air atmosphere for friends and family to enjoy grab and to-go bites from the restaurants.
The Oasis will incorporate Adirondack chairs, tables, umbrellas and oversized games such as chess, cornhole and connect four.
“We wanted to expand the Oasis experience so the inspiration behind the seasonal art activations is to create fun and creative memorable experiences for the local community upon entering the center,” said Claudia Marquez, CityPlace’s marketing manager.
CityPlace Doral worked with a local design and production company, Artistic Elves, on the art installation.
“The goal of the umbrella art installation is creating memorable experiences that resonates with our customers,” Ms. Marquez said, “while increasing engagement and foot traffic.”
In March, CityPlace welcomed the debuts of Anatomy, a premier health and wellness brand, and BÜNDA, the first gym to incorporate the StairMaster in group fitness, to its collection of dining, shopping, wellness and entertainment experiences.
CityPlace Doral is a leisure destination offering dining, shopping, wellness and entertainment. Featuring 250,000 square feet of retail, the lifestyle center is a master-planned, mixed-use development in the employment center of Doral. It includes more than 40 dining, shopping and entertainment destinations.
“We are thrilled to welcome Anatomy and BÜNDA to CityPlace Doral,” said Mauro Olivieri, the center’s general manager. “Joining our wide array of flourishing dining, entertainment and shopping experiences, Anatomy and BÜNDA supplement our health and wellness offerings and bring a new and dynamic workout experience to our guests.”
